On Sunday afternoon, July 25, at 4:00 p.m., Organist, Meghan Meloy Ness will present the first Summer Organ Recital Series program of the 2021 season. This program will be held at St. Matthew’s By-The-Bridge Episcopal Church, Railroad at Oak Street, which is located by the US 65 Bridge in downtown Iowa Falls.
Meghan Ness, who is Minister of Music at Swarthmore Presbyterian Church in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, will be joined by family members, husband Scott Ness who is a cellist, and her Mother in-law, Eileen Ness, who is also a concert organist. Together they will play a program of music for solo organ, organ and cello, and organ duet. Meghan Ness has degrees in organ and sacred music from The University of Michigan, Scott Ness has a degree in cello performance from Oberlin College, and Eileen Ness has degrees in organ from The Julliard School.
As always, the concert will be followed by a reception in the undercroft of the church where the audience may greet the artists and have light refreshments. The program is free and the public is encouraged to attend. There will be an opportunity for a freewill offering.
These programs are a cultural outreach of St. Matthew's By-The-Bridge Episcopal Church, and are made possible in part by a grant from the Barlow Family Endowment, support of the Iowa Falls Church Women United, and the generous free will support of the audience.
